Happy Birthday Namma!!!

Joyce Osterhus, our wonderful mom/grandma/friend, passed away six months ago. Last Friday (Sept 28th) was her birthday. Evan and Trina made a cake and some cupcakes in order to celebrate. The Provins Family joined the Gregory Family, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" to Namma as loud as we could so she could hear us in heaven. The kids got to stick their fingers in the frosting just as Namma taught them to do, and they also got to decorate their own cupcakes with Namma's sprinkles. Here's a photo of the cake.

A year ago, 17 of her family and friends (including her) were celebrating her 60th birthday on the Mexican Riviera Cruise. Here are some photos to help us remember that special trip.

You can see photos that span Joyce's life on Making Everlasting Memories site created for her at http://www.mem.com/Story.aspx?ID=1773885. Click on the Image Gallery or click on Movie to see the photos with captions and music.

Mom's body was cremated and the ashes placed in a niche at Westminster Memorial Park. The niche is located on the south side of a stone wall in a beautiful garden. Below is a photo of her niche.
We believe the plaque says it all.

We love you and miss you every day!

First Day of School

Evan started his first day of his Pre-K class on September 11. He will be attending school in the mornings Monday thru Friday. His new teacher is Mrs. Greene, which is cool since green is his favorite color.

Here's Evan and his buddy Ben "cruising the beach."

After his buddy Ben made it across the monkey bars, Evan had to do it too. On the second try, he did it all by himself.

Quinn also started school this week. He is taking a "Mommy and Me" class on Friday mornings. He was so excited to go that he couldn't wait to get out of the house and into the car.

Here's Quinn in his classroom sitting at the table.

We are going to have a fun school year!
